Theft, mischief incidents probed

A theft and acts of criminal mischief are being probed by state police at Lehighton.

Troopers said a 43-year-old male from Serfass Road, in Polk Township, Monroe County, reported a package containing bike parts were stolen from the front porch of his residence sometime between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Aug. 9.

Troopers said Neal Bollinger Murphy, 75, of Gernerd Rd., in Polk Township, reported someone vandalized his crops by driving through a field on his property. The incident occurred sometime between 8 p.m. Aug. 7 and 9 a.m. on Aug. 8.

Jamie Lynn Schembri, of 920 Hazlewood Rd., in Towamensing Township, Carbon County, reported someone damaged the driver's side door on his 2005 Chrysler Pacifica while parked near his home. The incident occurred sometime between 9 p.m. Aug. 13 and 1:15 p.m. on Aug. 14.

Two construction lights and barricades set up along Dairy and Golf roads in Towamensing Township, were damaged by unknown criminals. The incident was reported at 8 p.m. on Aug. 14.
