An extra day has been added at the Carbon County Fair after rain canceled last night's activities.

The fair will continue through Sunday, said Alicia Silliman, fair spokesperson. She said the fair will open at noon today and tomorrow.

Today's events will go on as scheduled, including a livestock auction at 1 p.m.

Silliman said that exhibitors can pick-up their displays on Sunday after 3 p.m. at the agricultural gate, instead of Saturday.

Earl Reabold, entertainment chairman, said music entertainment on Sunday will be by The Cramer Brothers, with performances on the main stage at 3, 5, and 7 p.m.

Also on Sunday, a demolition derby will be featured at 2 p.m. The derby, which features both large and compact cars, originally was set for Friday night. There will be a grand finale feature.

A ride special will also be offered from 1-8 p.m. on Sunday.

Today, a "Country Spectacular" occurs with five country music bands performing starting at 1 p.m. They are:

• 1 p.m. Tracy Lee.

• 3 p.m. The Hawks.

• 5 p.m. Joe Bonson & Coffee Run.

• 6:45 p.m. Brooke Unger.

• 7:30 p.m. The Cramer Brothers.

• 9:30 p.m. Jam session with all five bands.

Also today, there's a horse show beginning at 8:30 a.m., and an antique field stock tractor pull at 6 p.m.

One of the fun-filled events this week was a livestock costume party in which 4-H members put their animals in costume.

The winners were:

• Felicia Mertz of Lehighton, who dressed her cow, Carlos, in bedtime attire, including a sleeping cap.

• Cody Fronheiser of Palmerton, who put hair curlers and a night gown on her goat, Magic.

• Alexandria Sestock of Palmerton, for her rabbit, Harvel.

Fronheiser won the "Best of Show" award.
