Published August 09. 2012 05:01PM

A Schuylkill County driver is facing charges, including driving under the influence (DUI), after fleeing a crash scene and later being stopped.

State police at Frackville said Bryan D. McGinley, 29, of Ashland, was operating a 1997 Chrysler along the Morea Road in West Mahanoy Township, about 8:35 a.m. on Aug. 4 when he failed to negotiate a left curve. The car left the road and went onto a sidewalk where it struck a rock wall.

McGinley then fled the scene, troopers said, but was later stopped by Ashland borough police. Troopers said he is facing the DUI count plus various motor vehicle code violations.
