Neighbors dispute leads to charges

A neighbors' dispute in Monroe County, in which a gun was allegedly used, led to charges being filed against one of the participants.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said officers were dispatched about 5:45 p.m. on July 31 to 217 Greenbriar Circle, in A Pocono Country Place development in Tobyhanna for a reported fight between neighbors with a gun involved.

Through an investigation officers determined that there has been an ongoing dispute between Susan Cruz-Marin, 50, and Ulric McKenzie, 31, both of the development. During the latest dispute, police said, Cruz-Marin allegedly pulled a .22-caliber handgun out and pointed at McKenzie threatening to shoot him. Police said they recovered a handgun from Cruz-Marin.

Police said Cruz-Marin was charged with terroristic threats, reckless endangerment, and simple assault.
