Staff members and volunteers with the St. Jerome Regional School in Tamaqua held their annual 5K walk/run on Saturday in Hometown in memory of 2nd grade teacher Debra Earley, who passed away last April to cancer. The walk/run started at the Marian High School and stretched about three miles around the school. Funds collected from all the participants went to the American Cancer Society. Hometown Fire Police directed traffic around the area. Organizers stressed their appreciation to all who helped or took part in the event.
