Retail theft arrest in Schuylkill

A Dauphin County woman was cited for retail theft at the Schuylkill Mall in New Castle Township, Schuylkill County. A crminal mischief incident was also probed at the mall.

State police at Frackville said Nicole Lynn Hoffman, 31, of Williamstown, was cited after she entered a dressing room at the Sears store and put on clothing and then exited the store without paying for the clothing.

The incident occurred on Friday, April 27, troopers said.

The mischief incident involved Leah Metz, of Frackville. Troopers said unknown criminals scratched the driver's side door on her 2012 Jeep Compass while parked in a lot in the mall. The incident occurred sometime between 1 and 9 p.m. on Saturday, April 28.
