Panther Valley holds Spring Band Concert

On Wednesday evening, musical students in the Panther Valley School District gathered together to entertain family and friends in the high school auditorium.

The annual Spring Band Concert started with the Elementary School Band performing under the direction of Karen Grebousky. They played "Let's Rock", "Power Rock", "Theme from Transformers", "Rock and Roll Part II, and "Star Wars."The Junior Band directed by Joseph Ogozalek followed with "Animal", "Born This Way", "Uprising", "Captain America March", "Rolling in the Deep", "Dynamite", and "Firework."The High School,Band conducted by Mark L. Christ played "Seven Nation Army", "Pirates of the Caribbean", "Caribbean Carnival", "Rage", "Into the Storm" and "Led Zeppelin on Tour."The concert was opened with the Pledge of Allegiance with the P.V. JROTC followed by welcoming remarks by high school principal Joseph Gunnels. A special thank you and recognition went out to musicians from Weatherly and Tamaqua for participating in the concert.The Percussion Ensemble Concert will be held on Monday, May 14 at 7 p.m. in the high school auditorium with students from the elementary and high school performing.
