Inducted into honor society at Susquehanna

Michael S. Fiorilla of Tamaqua, was recently inducted into the Sigma Tau Delta international English honor society at Susquehanna University.

Fiorilla, a senior majoring in English and creative writing, is a 2008 graduate of Tamaqua High School and the son of Gary and Linda Fiorilla.

The purpose of Sigma Tau Delta is to bestow distinction upon undergraduates, graduates and scholars in academia, as well as upon professional writers who have recognized accomplishments in linguistic or literary realms of the English language.

To be eligible for membership, students must complete at least three semesters of coursework at Susquehanna, take at least three courses in English, achieve at least a 3.0 grade point average in English courses and rank in the top 35 percent of the class.
