Dog law violation

Published April 27. 2012 09:48AM

State police at Fern Ridge reported the arrest of a Monroe County resident for violating the state dog law.

Troopers said Suzanne M. Bowman, of Saylorsburg, was cited for confinement and housing of dogs not part of a kennel.

Troopers said Laurie Ann Heath, of Saylorsburg, was walking in the area of Barberry Crossing, in Chestnuthill Township, about 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 24, when Bowman's dog left her property and allegedly made contact with Heath. Heath alleges the dog bit her, troopers said.

A non-traffic citation was filed against Bowman, troopers added.
