Published April 24. 2012 05:01PM

Tamaqua police have cited two men after receiving a complaint about a possible underage drinking incident on April 14.

Patrolman Peter Wysochansky was dispatched to the Burger King parking lot, on Center St., at 9:44 p.m. after receiving a tip concerning two males in a white Volkeswegan Golf. As the officer approached the suspect vehicle exited the lot and Wysochansky made a vehicle stop for the suspected drinking and an illegal window tint.

The driver was identified as Zachary David Pisanchyn, 18, of 171 Sunny Dr., MaryD, while the passenger was Joseph Nicholas Kamant, 18, of 531 E. Union St., Tamaqua. As Kamant exited the vehicle the officer observed two containers on the floor. A glass smoking pipe was visibly extending from one of the containers.

Both men exhibited signs of intoxication and were given portable breath tests. Both tests indicated positive results for alcohol. Neither admitted to being the owner of the pipe.

Both face charges of underage drinking and possession of drug paraphernalia.
