Published April 20. 2012 05:01PM

A Tamaqua man was lodged in the Schuylkill County Prison based on an outstanding arrest warrant from Montgomery County.

Tamaqua Police were investigating the theft of two Mongoose BMX bicycles at 5:57 p.m. Sunday, reportedly taken from the porch of Howard Boyer, 39, of 108 Schuylkill Ave., Tamaqua.

A short time later, one of the bikes was discovered by a dumpster in the area of 27 Center St. While questioning people in the area, officers spoke with Glen Vosburgh, 24, of 29 1/2 Center St. A routine records check discovered the outstanding warrant, issued for a parole violation.

Vosburgh was transported to the Schuylkill County Prison, Pottsville, until an officer with the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office picked him up.

Anyone with information concerning the stolen bikes may contact police at (570) 668-5000.
