A Barnesville man faces charges pending the investigation into a crash in Jim Thorpe Wednesday afternoon.

The crash happened at about 4:15 p.m. in the 300 block of West Broadway when John Jasinsky, 44, veered off the road for an unknown reason. Jasinsky, who was traveling west, struck a Verizon telephone pole, said Jim Thorpe Police Chief Joseph Schatz.

Jasinsky was not hurt, but the vehicle had to be towed. A section of West Broadway was closed for some time until the pole was repositioned and Jasinsky's vehicle towed.

Schatz said police are investigating the crash, and that charges are pending completion of the investigation.
