Bears win two MVC tennis titles

Pleasant Valley captured a pair of Mountain Valley Conference tennis championships. The Bears went on to finish second as a team at the MVCs to highlight Friday's scholastic sports schedule.

BOYS TENNISMVC ChampionshipsStroudsburg edged out Pleasant Valley to win the 2012 boys' tennis championships, scoring 27 points to the Bears' 24.The Mounties scored four first-placed finishes. They came from Jeff Norris (No. 1 singles), Gage Wyant (No. 3 singles), Billy Carangelo/Will Lynch (No. 3 doubles) and Nick Diecidue/Tom Shaw (No. 4 doubles).Pleasant Valley had the other two first-place finishers. Jon White won the No. 2 singles match by a score of 8-4, while No. 2 doubles team of Kyle Tamaraz/Lou Bravo also won 8-4.
