Injuries were averted in a two-vehicle accident at 1 p.m. April 7 near the intersection of Seven Stars Road and Route 61 in North Manheim Township, according to state police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks,

Police said Steven Skoloda II, 21, of Hamburg, was driving a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado southbound on Seven Stars Road when he failed to make the turn properly. Police said his vehicle swung too wide into the path of a 2007 Jeep Cherokee driven by Harry J. Zaprazny, 42, of New Ringgold, who was coming off Rt. 61 northbound and beginning to make a left turn onto Seven Stars Road.

Police said the Silverado struck the driver's side door of Zaprazny's Cherokee, pushing it backward for several feet. Both vehicles sustained disabling damages and were towed from the scene.
