Published April 07. 2012 09:01AM

A Jim Thorpe male juvenile is facing charges in connection with the theft of a motor vehicle.

Nesquehoning Police Chief Sean Smith reported Officer Brian White received a dispatch on Wednesday, April 4, from a resident at 210 Yard St., that her 2005 Chrysler Sebring had been stolen along with her purse, cash and cell phone.

Smith and Detective Lee Marzen, of the Jim Thorpe police, began investigating into the incident and learned that the vehicle was in York County.

The investigation led to Smith filing felony auto theft charges against the Jim Thorpe juvenile. The vehicle and cell phone were recovered by Northeast Regional police on April 5, Smith said. Other charges are pending against the juvenile.
