Did you know that you could help reduce the amount of garbage you generate by reducing, reusing, and recycling products?
Please, join Mrs. Bush's Personal Care Homes, Inc., Chestnut Ridge Home on Kunkletown Road, Kunkletown, for a presentation by Jim Lambert, executive director of the Monroe County Municipal Waste Management Authority on "Recycling in Our Community" on Tuesday, April 17 at 2 p.m.
Learn about the importance of recycling, tips on recycling, and how it affects Monroe County and our environment.
Recycling is an important part of our relationship with the earth. It entails separating and collecting materials such as aluminum, glass, paper, and steel to create new products.
In 1988 Pennsylvania passed Act 101, which mandates landfills to establish recyclable drop off centers. This Act has helped make Pennsylvania the largest state in the nation to require recycling.
