Concourse Club of Palmerton names Guiding Star of March

The Concourse Club of Palmerton has announced Michelle Elisebeth Rickert as its Guiding Star for March.

Michelle is a senior at Palmerton Area High School and is in the top 25 percent of her class. She received a certificate, an engraved Guiding Star gold charm and a $100 cash award.

She is a member of the National Honor Society, Environmental Club, Student Council, FBLA, yearbook and is the Leo Club president.

She is very active in basketball and softball.

Outside of her school activities, she is very involved in Special Olympics of Carbon County and enjoys kayaking, scrap booking, biking, reading and spending time with friends when she is not working either at Country Junction Octoberfest or at PMPA.

She plans to attend Moravian College to major in psychology and neuroscience in order to pursue a career as a behavorial specialist.

Michelle is the daughter of Lorie and Randy Rickert of Lehighton and has an older sister, Kelli.
