Erin Carnish and Sean Bernard are wed

Erin Carnish, the daughter of James and Kathryn Carnish of Tamaqua, became the bride of Sean Bernard, the son of William and Christine Bernard of Oaklyn, N.J., on Oct. 15, 2011, at St. Agatha - St. James Church in Philadelphia. The Rev. George Stausser officiated the double ring ceremony. Lamarr Holland was the pianist; Jennifer Lee was the violinist; and the church choir, of which the bride is a member, were the vocalists.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride chose Smiriti Sharma as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Molly Carnish, Jennifer Corra-Krum, Katrina Kenesky and Kristen Sentore.William Bernard served as the best man. Ushers were Michael Bernard, Michael Dingler, Justin Viggiano and Edward Carson.Following the ceremony, the couple welcomed family and friends to a reception at the Marriott in Conshohocken. They then honeymooned in Disney World.Pre-nuptial parties included a bridal shower hosted by the bride's mother at Basile's.The newlyweds currently reside in Collingswood N.J.The new Mrs. Bernard is a 2003 graduate of Marian Catholic High School, and a 2007 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, where she earned a bachelor of arts degree in biology. She is also a 2011 graduate of Jefferson Medical College, where she earned her medical degree. She is employed by Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, serving in an internal medicine residency as a resident-physician.Mr. Bernard is a 2004 graduate of Haddon Township High School and a 2009 graduate of Rutgers University. He is currently studying for a master's degree in business and technology at Stevens Institute of Technology. He is employed at Lockheed Martin as a computer systems analyst.
