The District 5 CYO Spelling Bee was held March 25 at St. Jerome's Regional School in Tamaqua. Participating schools included St. Jerome's, Our Lady of the Angels Academy, St. Joseph Regional School, St. John Neumann, SS. Peter and Paul and McAdoo Catholic Schools. Fifth grade winners were: Katie Spillman of St. Joseph's, third place; Alyssa Igo of St. Jerome's, second place; and Jacub Kantyka of OLOAA, first place.
