Theft at Schuylkill mall being probed

A retail theft incident at a Schuylkill County mall is being probed.

State police at Frackville said the incident occurred about 1:38 p.m. Saturday, March 31, at the Sears store in the Schuylkill Mall, in New Castle Township.

Troopers said a white female entered the store and put on a pair of Skechers Sports sneakers and then fled the store without paying for them. The sneakers are valued at $54.99.
