New police car for Nesquehoning

The Borough of Nesquehoning purchased and took delivery of a new police car at the Kovatch facility on Monday. In addition to the lighting and police pursuit package, the Ford Crown Victoria includes hide-a-way strobes, a light bar, recessed panel partition with weapon rack, window bars and other lighting. The total cost of the vehicle was $32,205.81. Attending the presentation were, left to right, RoniSue Ahner, borough secretary/treasurer; PA Rep. Doyle Heffley, who helped in funding the purchase; Police Chief Sean Smith, Mayor Tony Walck, David Hawk and Rose Walck, borough Budget Committee representatives.
