Students donate to Tamaqua Meals on Wheels

Michael Anthony, center, and Brandon McCloskey, left, both 17, seniors at North Schuylkill High School, raised $691 for the Tamaqua Meals on Wheels blizzard bags, which provides three days of food in case of bad weather. The Tamaqua Meals on Wheels, co-sponsored by the United Way of Schuylkill County, provides over 1,500 meals annually to local residents. Samantha Gibbons, program coordinator, right, stated, "Our program is struggling this year, and donations like this are an absolute Godsend."
