Electronics recycling for Carbon residents being held in Lehighton

The Carbon County Department of Solid Waste is holding an electronics recycling collection from noon to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 27, at the Lehighton Public Works building on East Penn Street.

Items being accepted include VCRs, stereos, typewriters, computer towers, printers and scanners, mainframe and telecom equipment, telephones, circuit boards of any kind, fax machines, DVD and CD players, old cell phones and printer ink jet cartridges.

Advanced Green solutions will accept computer monitors for a $7 charge and all TVs and air conditioners for $20. All other recycling is free.

No household appliances will be accepted.
