Horse stolen, then is recovered

State police at Frackville are investigating the theft of a horse, which was later recovered.

Troopers said the incident occurred on Tuesday, Sept. 20, about 11 p.m. Troopers said unknown criminals removed a 2-year-old black and white paint horse from a stall at 222 Green Mountain Road, in East Union Township. The criminals then led the horse away from the area utilizing a vehicle and leading the horse from the vehicle window. The horse was found early this morning, troopers said, unharmed.

The horse is owned by Michael Bernotas, 52, of Ringtown.
