Christopher Hunt, son of Scott and Catherine Hunt, a senior at Weatherly Area High School, has been selected as a semifinalist in the 57th Annual National Merit Scholarship Program.

Semifinalists in the program will have the opportunity to continue in the competition for some 8,300 National Merit Scholarships that will be offered in the spring.

Hunt also qualified for the American Invitation Mathematics Examination (AIME). He also won 1st place at the Bucknell University Gold Exam Competition.

His future plans include attending an Ivy League University with a major in either Mathematics or Physics.
