State police at Schuylkill Haven reported on several crashes investigated by troopers on Schuylkill County roadways.

A crash occurred about 6 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 16, along SR61 in North Manheim Township. Troopers said Adam J. Zimmerman, 23, of Schuylkill Haven, and Steve Moyer, 37, of Pottsville, were both southbound when a deer entered the road. Moyer slowed down to avoid the deer when his 2005 GMC 1500 truck was hit in the rear by Zimmerman's 1987 GMC Suburban.

Moyer suffered a minor injury but did not require immediate medical attention. Troopers cited Zimmerman for driving a vehicle at a (un) safe speed.

Troopers investigated another crash on Friday, about 8:55 p.m., along SR61 in North Manheim Township. Troopers said Cynthia L. Rosetta, 56, of Kulpmont, was southbound while Debra L. Kokitus, 57, of Orwigsburg, was eastbound traveling through the jughandle. Rosetta swerved into the left lane to avoid Kokitus who was traveling through the intersection.

Rosetta went through a red light and struck the left side of Kokitus' 1996 Chevrolet Geo Tracker with the front of her 2006 Lincoln Navigator.

After impact the Geo spun counter-clockwise and flipped over onto the passenger side.

Kokitus sustained a minor injury and was taken to the Schuylkill Medical Center-S. Jackson St., Pottsville. Rosetta was not injured. Troopers cited Rosetta for a red light violation.

Troopers probed a crash about 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 17, along SR209 in Porter Township. Troopers said Mae A. Minnich, 77, of Orwin, Schuylkill County, was turning left onto 209 from 17th St. and pulled into the path of a 1998 Chevrolet Cavalier driven by Showawn A. Boehm, 32, of St. Clair. The front of Minnich's 2002 Hyundai Elantra hit the side of the Cavalier.

No one was injured. Troopers cited Minnich for stop signs and yield signs and Boehm for required financial responsibility.

A two-vehicle crash occurred about 3:20 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 18, along SR61 in North Manheim Township at the entrance to the Cressona Mall.

Troopers said Nicholas Arch, 78, of Naples, Fla., was operating a 2007 Ford Taurus and making a left turn from the northbound lane to enter the mall and pulled into the path of a 2004 Dodge Stratus driven by Aaron M. Davis, 26, of St. Clair, who was southbound.

Both vehicles sustained disabling damages, troopers said, but no one was injured.
