The Panther Valley School District on Thursday donated $4,000 to the Panther Valley Public Library in Lansford.

School district business manager Kenneth Marx said that with the way the economy is, and with all the budget cuts, the school board understands the importance of continuing its support for the library.

Library board president Marie Ondrus said the library is grateful for the help.

Library director Debi Dodson said the money would be used to benefit students who use the facility, including computers and printers and programs designed for students.
