Halloween Spooktacular planned for Lehighton children on Oct. 26

Published September 19. 2011 05:03PM

Having a safe alternative to "Trick or Treat" is the emphasis for the third annual Lehighton Area Lioness Lions Club Halloween Spooktacular Party.

Elementary children (12 years of age or younger) in the Lehighton Area School District are invited to attend the event at 7 p.m. on Oct. 26 at the Lehighton Recreation Center.

Candy, treats, "goolish" fun and games, are all on the agenda.

Halloween costumes are encouraged but not required. There is no cost to participate in the event but the donation of a canned good, pet food or an old hearing aid or pair of eyeglasses is requested.

All students must be accompanied by an adult. Advance registration is required by 4 p.m. Monday, Oct. 24. To register parent and child, go to TRICKORTREAT18235@YAHOO.COM and provide your name and age.
