Old Fashioned Hay Ride and Fall Fest planned at Lehigh Canal
Old Fashioned Hay Ride and Fall Fest will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 23 at the Lehigh Canal Park at Weissport.
The event will include tractor drawn hayrides along the historic canal, homemade food and children's activities. This event is catering to seniors, elderly individuals and people with disabilities. Families with young children are also invited to attend. Hay rides will be held every 20 minutes, from 10 a.m. throughout the day.
Groups, families and individuals are invited to visit the historic Lehigh Canal Park at Weissport during the height of the fall foliage experience. There will be a variety of children's activities, homemade food served with restaurant style table service to especially accommodate seniors and people with disabilities.

Donations will be accepted for hay rides.
This event is being sponsored by L-TNT Pyrotechs Inc., Walnutport, who are providing the tractors and transportation and drivers; Lehigh Canal Recreation Commission who is opening the park gates and welcoming everyone to this event; Walnutport Canal Association for providing the hay wagons and the newly forming Beltzville Lions Club, who will be serving the community through this event.
