Tamaqua police have filed charges against a former Lehigh County man accused of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl.

David Scott Reed, 24, whose last known address was 1017 Virginia St., Allentown, was arraigned Tuesday on charges of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, statutory sexual assault, indecent assault, indecent exposure and corruption of minors.Reed was arrested after police received a complaint early Saturday evening from the teenage victim's mother.When questioned, the girl told police she went to 27 Center St., with a friend. At that home she had been playing video games with Reed, who suddenly exposed himself and asked if she was ready for sex.Despite her negative reply, Reed persisted until she was convinced to say yes.As she is under the age of consent, police filed the charges and arraigned Reed before District Judge Stephen Bayer, of Tamaqua.Unable to post the required $75,000 straight cash bond, Reed was lodged in the Schuylkill County Prison, Pottsville.
