Dozen high school bands to perform in Tamaqua
This year marks the 15 edition of the Tamaqua Land of the Runing Water Marching Band Adjudication. This year's event will be held Sept. 24 at the Tamaqua High Sports Stadium. Gates will open at 5 p.m. and the performances will begin at 6:30 p.m.
One dozen high school marching bands have committed to performing their Fall field shows to be judged by a panel of present and former music educators. Trophies will be presented.The Tamaqua Raider Band will also perform, but will not be eligible for judging/trophies.
High school bands scheduled to participate include: Bangor Slator Marching Band; Emmaus HS Marching Band; Exeter Township HS Marching Band; Hamburg Area Hawk Marching Band; Mahanoy Area Golden Bear Marching Band; Minersville Battlin' Miners Marching Band; Panther Valley Panther Band; Pottsville Area Crimson Tide Marching Band; Southern Lehigh High School Marching Band; Tri-Valley Bulldog Marching Band; Williams Valley Viking Pride Marching Band; Wilson Area High School Marching Band.
The event will be held rain or shine.
