Break-in, theft incidents probed

State police at Lehighton reported investigating a burglary and theft incident.

The break-in occurred at the residence of Steven Warhurst, 57, of 340 Covered Bridge Road, in Kunkletown, Lower Towamensing Township, Carbon County. Troopers said entry was gained by pushing open a exterior screen window leading to the first floor bathroom. Removed was numerous prescription pills. The incident occurred sometime between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Sept. 5.

The state registration plate from the vehicle of James Scott Akins, 43, of Kresgeville, was removed while parked at the Kresgeville Garage, located along Trach Rd., in Polk Township, Monroe County. The plate was taken sometime between May 1 and Aug. 15.

Patricia Anderson, 47, of 113 Fair Hills Road, in Eldred Township, Monroe County, reported someone cut a cable on a high tensile horse fence sometime between 7:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 9.
