Board looks to nominate candidate for LCCC

Published September 13. 2011 05:01PM

A position on the Board of Trustees of Lehigh Carbon Community College is open for nomination within the 13 sponsoring districts, which includes Jim Thorpe Area School District. The position is a Candidate At-Large seat. School Board member, Randall Smith, wishes to open this up to persons within the district.

The school board can nominate anyone that lives within the school district. This person does not have to be a board member.

The board will need to nominate someone by October 3rd. After all the nominations are due, all of the districts will then vote on the best candidate and whoever has the most votes will have the position.

The Jim Thorpe School Board has asked that if anyone in the district is interested in serving on the LCCC Board of Trustees then send in a letter of interest with their resume to the district office. The board would like this in by September 26th.

The board will then vote on a candidate to nominate.
