Monroe crashes

State police at Fern Ridge reported investigating the following crashes on Monroe County roads.

A one vehicle crash occurred about 4:05 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 5, along Neola Road, in Jackson Township. Troopers said Robert J. Holler III, 18, of Saylorsburg, was driving a 2002 Mercury Mountaineer southbound when the vehicle left the road and struck a tree.

Holler and his passenger, Eric R. Holler, 18, of New Hyde Park, N.Y., were injured and taken to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, by West End ambulance.

Troopers said a one vehicle crash occurred about 3:01 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 2, alogn Effort Neola Road, in Chestnuthill Township. Patricia M. Gollab, 21, of Brodheadsville, was driving a 1997 Chevrolet Lumina westbound when she lost control. The car spun clockwise 180 degrees before going onto the berm and overturning into a ditch with a creek. Gollab was not injured.

She was cited for driving a vehicle at a (un) safe speed.

A rear-end type crash occurred about 5:48 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 3, along SR209 in Chestnuthill Township. Troopers said a 2002 Mazda Protege operated by Michael P. Rutkauskas, 20, of Mount Pocono, rear-ended a 1998 Ford F150 pickup truck driven by Mark V. Valenza, 49, of East Stroudsburg.

No one was injured. Troopers cited Rutkauskas for careless driving.
