Organizers said it is a family event with activities for children scheduled.
Zoostock begins at noon and continues until 8 p.m.
Last year's event netted $25,000 for the Carbon/Schuylkill Chapter of the American Cancer Society.
Lisa Hiles, a coordinator, said the bands which volunteered to perform at this year's Zoostock are Colin Jones, Cody Scott, Brad and Luke and the Jersey Cartwrights, A.D.D., Story of Another, Toolshed Jack, YMI and Category 5.
"There will be food, beverages, entertainment, souvenir t-shirts and wristbands as well as activities for the kids, so bring the entire family," she said.
Ann Marie Calabrese of Coolbreeze Imaging and host of "Stuck in the '80s" on Magic 105.5 WMGH will serve as emcee.
"You are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or a blanket to enjoy the holiday while helping a great cause," Hiles said.
