Drug arrest in Jim Thorpe
Jim Thorpe police reported a borough resident has been arrested on various drug-related charges.
Police said on Tuesday, Oct. 25, about 1 p.m. they, with agents from the state attorney general's office, executed a search warrant at 124 Center Ave. Prior to the warrant, police said, police and agents of the AG had allegedly made several controlled drug buys from William Gonzalez-Gonzalez, 28, of that address, at his residence.
During the search authorities seized an unspecified amount of narcotics from the home. Also found in the home was a 16-year-old female.
While executing the warrant police said they were interfered with and harassed by Earl Monroe Kunkle III, 28, of 130 Center Ave.
Gonzalez-Gonzalez was arraigned before District Judge Edward Lewis, of Jim Thorpe, who set bail at $10,000 percentage. The female was released to the custody of her mother.
Police said charges are pending against Kunkel.
