Frightening school house this weekend in Clamtown
ANDREW LEIBENGUTH/TIMES NEWS Connor Evans, 16, scares visitors with his bloody clown stare.
The second weekend haunt of the 21st Annual Haunted School House will be held Friday and Saturday from 7 to 10 p.m. at the old Clamtown school house in Clamtown.
Holding the haunt are over 40 scouts, parents and volunteers of the Boy Scout Troop 755, Cub Scout Pack 756 and West Penn Youth Association, who spend more than 90 hours creating their haunted house every year.
The haunted school house, located on Route 443, consists of monsters, ghouls, fog, light effects, terrifying sounds, hidden passageways, animatronics and rooms depicting horrifying scenes.
The scouts hold their haunted house to raise funds for their Hawk Mountain Boy Scout Camp trip held every year. Work on their haunted house started the last weekend in August.
Marlin Tyson, president, West Penn Youth Association, stated, "We all put many hours of hard work into this to make it the best haunted house around!"
