Figures released by the Carbon County Commissioners on increases in tax assessments in the county's townships and boroughs show that the increases range from 5.1 percent in Lansford to 140 percent in Penn Forest Township. The average of the assessment increases resulting from the reassessment program completed in the county by the Cole-Layer-Trumble Company of Dayton, Ohio is 30 percent.
