Approximately 100 Lehighton Boy and Girl Scouts, leaders and parents heard a comprehensive program about the United States flag on Monday night at the Lehighton American Legion Post 314.

They heard how to display the flag at where it should be located when it is on display in reference to meeting rooms, during programs, in windows displays, classrooms and during parades.

Presenting the program was Harry Wynn III and James Smith.

Smith also noted why flags are flown at half mast.

Wynn also presented a segment where each of the branches of the military presented the branch's flag. He noted when each of the branches mustered into the military service.

Smith also touched on how people should conduct themselves when the national anthem is played.

The program concluded with a demonstration of how the flag is folded during a funeral ceremony for a veteran and what each fold of the flag means.
