At a Halloween party at the Lehigh Gap Nature Center, Clare Kubik brought a friend. It was a large rose-haired tarantula that was bigger than the palm of her hand. She said if it touches any other part of her body except the palm it causes itching. Kubik is doing research on spiders and just before the party she was out in the field checking spider traps at the center.
