Carbon business cited by PLCB

A Carbon County business has been cited by the Wilkes-Barre enforcement office of the state liquor control board for violating the state liquor code.

Pizza Como USA Uno, Inc., trading as Pizza Coma USA, Carbon Plaza Mall, 1241 Blakeslee Blvd. Drive East, Mahoning Township, was cited for selling alcoholic beverages after their eating place malt beverage license expired on Aug. 31, and had not been renewed and/or validated.

The alleged offense occurred on Sept. 1.

This charge will be brought before an administrative law judge who has the authority to impose penalties ranging from $50 to $1,000 for minor offenses and up to $5,000 for more serious offenses.

In addition, the judge can also impose a license suspension or revocation of the license based on the severity of the charge brought.
