Local volunteer helps traveling veterans

Hodur is holding one of Clemen's crocheted TP pumpkin holders and a donation check for $500, $250 from Penn's Peak Radio and a matched $250 from the sale of Clemen's crocheted items.
Pat Clemens, a localveterans supporter from Tamaqua, recentlydelivered over $4,500 worth of stuffed animals, diapers, baby blankets, estatejewelry, medicine and books to hand out to traveling military families via United Services Organizations (USOs).
Clemens also delivered estate jewelry, medicine, and an afghan that she made for a USO fundraising auction.
Clemens is working on another big project which consists of making 3,000 goody grab bags for deploying soldiers consisting of beef jerky, gum, lifesavers, candy, nuts, purse tissue packets and more.
