Minor injuries were reported in a two-vehicle accident in Tamaqua on Saturday, Oct. 8.

Michael Loch, 44, of 534 E. Broad St., Tamaqua, was traveling west on Lafayette Street at 10:30 a.m., operating a 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier, when he slowed down to look at a yard sale. He had almost come to a complete stop when his car was struck from behind by a 2005 Ford F150, operated by Amanda Alonge, 21, of 71 Tioga St., Tamaqua R.D.

Alonge complained of neck and back pain before passing out at the scene. She was transported to St. Luke's Miners Memorial Hospital, Coaldale, in an ambulance. A passenger in the Loch car, Linda Thomas, complained of leg and head pain, but refused medical treatment at the scene.

Both vehicles were moderately damaged but were able to be driven from the scene.
