No one is hurt in Schuylkill crash

No one was hurt in a two-vehicle crash at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 7 on Rt. 61 at Mall Road in Blythe Township, according to state police at the Frackville barracks.

Police said the accident happened at mall Road when a car driven by Paul Nicholls, 70, of Westminster, Mass., was attempting to merge onto Rt. 61 southbound from Mall Road and traveled into the path of a vehicle operated by John Pytko, 29, of Mahanoy City, causing the crash. Both vehicles sustained moderate damages. Pytko's 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt required towing from the scene.

Police said Nicholls will be cited for failure to drive on roadways laned for traffic.
