Monroe burglary probed

A burglary that occurred last week in Monroe County remains under investigation.

State Police at Lehighton said the incident occurred sometime between 7 p.m. Sept. 29 and 11 a.m. Sept. 30 along Serfass Road in Polk Township.

In the commission of the crime, the actor(s) entered the residence through the front door located on the north side of the residence. Once inside the residence, the actor(s) went to the basement, where they cut some copper wire and some copper pipe.

The actors removed the copper pipe and copper wire outside the residence to the bottom of the property with a small refrigerator. The actors then fled the scene in an unknown direction without taking any of the items that they moved to the bottom of the property.
