A 21-year-old Jim Thorpe woman was injured and fled the scene of a crash at 7:54 p.m. Feb. 4 on Route 903, near Unionville Road in Penn Forest Township.

State police at the Lehighton barracks reported the accident details but are withholding the name of the driver.Police said she was driving a 1999 Nissan sedan at the above location when she lost control of the vehicle. It left the lane of travel, traveled into a ditch and rolled over onto its roof.Police said the driver fled the scene before police arrived there, but she was later located.Police said they found her to be under the influence of alcohol. She also suffered injuries and was transferred to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, by the Lehighton Ambulance. Police said the woman is facing DUI charges, pending the lab results of a blood draw.
