Marian Girls Volleyball Team, Tamaqua, has organized a "Dig Pink" fundraiser to benefit The Side-out Foundation which awards grants to medical research organizations and entities dedicated to providing compassionate support to breast cancer patients and their families. The Fillies fundraising finale will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 11, 6 p.m. at Marian Catholic High School when the Fillies and JV play Shenandoah.

Skipper Dippers, Route 309, Hometown, will once again be offering for a limited time only their special "Fillies Hope Float" pink milkshake with the proceeds being donated to the Fillies Dig Pink fundraiser. Louise Pilla, spokesperson for Skipper Dippers Dairy Bar & Grill said, "This is a great opportunity for Skipper Dippers to support the Fillies with their efforts to make a difference. We will be offering our Fillies Hope Float at Skipper Dippers in Hometown and at all the Fillies volleyball games until their fundraising finale. With community support, we look forward to presenting them with a sizeable donation on October 11."
