Published November 30. 2011 05:01PM

A Luzerne County man was placed in the Carbon County prison in Nesquehoning after being picked up on a warrant issued to Kidder Township police.

Township police said Timothy J. Moran, 40, of White Haven, was stopped on Nov. 24 about 12:01 a.m. by state police at Hazleton for a traffic violation. At the stop it was learned he had an active warrant for his arrest on two felony counts of theft by deception.

Moran was turned over to township police who transported him to on-call District Judge Casimir Kosciolek, of Lansford. Moran was committed to the prison after failing to post $3,000 cash bail set by Kosciolek.
