Published November 30. 2011 05:01PM

Jim Thorpe police have arrested Charles H. Hemmen, 25, of Ambler, with a felony count of theft by unlawful taking or disposition as a result of an incident on July 24 in the borough where a motorcycle was stolen.

Police said the victim, Chris Hynes, said that someone took his 2001 Suzuki GSXR 1000 from its parked position at a meter on Lehigh Avenue.

Police said the Ambler Police Department notified them on Sept. 25 that the motorcycle was recovered from Hemmen's residence. Police interviewed Hemmen on Oct. 5, when he admitted stealing the motorcycle, resulting in the charge as well as three summary citations, including driver required to be licensed, proper class of license required and driving while his operating privilege is suspended or revoked.
