A female driver and male passenger were injured just before 5 p.m. yesterday after their red Toyota Camry, traveling north in the 1900 block of West Penn Pike (SR309), lost control, struck a tree and mailboxes and then flipped back onto the road. The incident occurred across from Knepper's Inn in Snyders. Responding in addition to township police were West Penn Fire Company, fire police, Tamaqua Rescue Squad, Penn Mahoning and Lehighton ambulances. The names and condition of the individuals weren't available as of press time this morning.
